Start with a thinner everyday cotton sock while you learn the motion, then move on to the socks you wear most.
Load the sock so the heel faces you — it keeps the sock oriented correctly as your foot moves in.
If the sock slips off a blade, it usually needs to be pulled further back toward the handle before you begin.
Work slowly. Speed comes on its own once the sequence is familiar.
